DCS-56 Series Outdoor Enclosure
The DCS-56 Series Outdoor Enclosure is an outdoor enclosure designed for use with D-Link’s box cameras. This IP66-certified enclosure protects your camera against dust and heavy jets of water. The DCS-56 series consists of the DCS-56, DCS-56P and DCS-56W. These models include a heater and a blower for a wider range of temperature-sensitive environments.

Designed to be mounted outdoors, the DCS-56 Series Outdoor Enclosure protects your D-Link cameras from the vigors of adverse weather conditions including dust and heavy jets of water. The DCS-56 Series is IP66-certified, meaning it meets highly rigorous standards for providing complete protection.
Flexible Model Options
The DCS-56 Series features 3 models – the DCS-56, the DCS-56P, and the DCS-56W. While all three models boast IP66-certified enclosure and durable usage, the DCS-56P features PoE (Power over Ethernet), in which electric power is transmitted over an Ethernet cable along with data. This allows the DCS-56P model to be easily installed in a variety of locations without the need for power cabling. The DCS-56W is equipped with wireless antennas that allow the camera to be controlled and monitored wirelessly, avoiding the need to install Ethernet wiring.
Onboard Heater and Blower
The DCS-56 Series Outdoor Enclosure also has an onboard heater and blower that enable the enclosed camera to function in a wide range of temperatures in both hot and cold environments. The heater automatically turns on when the temperature drops below a certain point, and the blower automaitcally turns on when the temperature rises above a certain point.
