D-Link/The Corporation
D-Link is one of the world's leading suppliers of networking, connectivity and data communication equipment. The company designs, manufactures and markets hardware that allows users to share resources and communicate across a local area network and the equipment that allows individual users and offices to connect to WANs and the Internet.

From its beginnings in 1986, D-Link has worked towards the global market. It has opened branch offices in all the major markets and has a broad network of distributors in over 90 countries to consolidate its international presence.

Today, globalisation has turned D-Link into a global player with a fast-paced growth strategy. This program consists of developing three key strategies: Research and Development, Production and Marketing. The aim is to be able to concentrate on new opportunities, streamlining resources and costs and providing a global service to our clients.

With Research and Development laboratories on all five continents, D-Link has been able to take new technologies, study them in its laboratories and quickly release them on the markets. D-Link's products are flexible enough to meet global and local needs.

With plants in Taiwan, China, India and the USA, D-Link has been able to increase its production, reduce component costs and move its products faster from the factory to the customers.

D-Link's sales-and-marketing globalisation program began with the establishment of D-Link USA and D-Link Europe, and has continued with the recent incorporation of D-Link South Africa, D-Link South America and D-Link Middle East, emerging markets with great potential for development. At present, D-Link has been able to establish strong brand awareness and continuously increase its international sales, creating distribution centres and regional customer service programs, working on global and local levels.

D-Link works closely with its distributors and resellers worldwide. The company has a segmented, structured marketing channel, which uses distributors, systems integrators, Telcos and retailers among others.

Regional logistics centres have made it possible to improve the company's time-to-market and inventory control.

D-Link's globalisation efforts have shown positive results. D-Link products are globally and locally recognised, making it easier to introduce new products and earning a vote of confidence in local markets.

Our Factories
D-Link has located its factories at strategic points around the globe with the aim of maximising its results.

D-Link has 5 manufacturing plants worldwide. These factories are distributed as follows: one manufacturing plant in California, USA; two in Hsin-chu, Taiwan; one in Dong Guan Province, China; and one in Verna, India. With this support, D-Link has become one of the largest networking product manufacturers in the world.

The Taiwan plants are fully automated. One is located in Hsin-chu Science-Based Industrial Park and has been functional since 1986. This plant has been expanded, and currently has 5 SMT lines.
Due to the high demand for growth, D-Link built a new plant in Dong Guan, Southern China. This plant came into operation in 1998. Now, it has five SMT lines working at full capacity. The most important advantage of this plant is its proximity to the headquarters in Taiwan. The plant is designed for its capacity to increase to 14 SMT lines within the next few years.

The production line in Irvine, Southern California focuses on high-end products for markets in the United States and other regions.

The Goa plant, in India, produces for the Asian subcontinent and neighbouring markets.
Excellence in manufacturing and innovation and its commitment to quality have allowed D-Link to produce latest-generation products with high performance levels. The company continues to offer the very best to the connectivity market, combining the high quality of its products with a reasonable price and providing the best price/quality/performance ratio the market can offer.
