Access Point modes

Some access points can be set up in 1 of 7 different modes. Here is a short explanation of the 3 most commonly used modes.

 

 

RANGE EXTENDER MODE
Choose this mode if you want to extend your wireless reach from the main internet source

 

 

ACCESS POINT MODE
Choose this mode if you want the device to act as a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

 

 

WIRELESS CLIENT MODE
Choose this mode if your device has a LAN port and you want to connect it wirelessly to an internet source.
